Hafidh Zayaan Saiyed is a teaching assistant at Iqra Academy’s part-time hifdh program, where he works alongside Ust. Lawrence to help students develop their tajweed, makhaarij, and memorization of the Qur’an. He completed his hifdh, is currently in his senior year of high school, and is working toward his ijaaza of the memorization of the Qur’an. Outside of his teaching role, he serves on the YM (Youth Muslims) core team, helping coordinate weekly halaqahs and youth events, as well as conducting outreach to encourage greater youth involvement in the masjid.

Beyond his roles at the Masjid, Hafidh Saiyed finds interest in exploring philosophical ideas and pursuing nature photography. As a young member of the community himself, he hopes to contribute to an environment where youth feel encouraged to learn, participate, and grow.
