My name is Nouria Alilat, born in the capital of Algeria, Algiers, where I’ve earned my Civil Engineering degree, a five year program with a thesis on the steel bridges. I’ve worked as a math and French teacher for two years, and a project manager for three years before moving to the US with my husband in September 2000. We’ve spent 8 years in Boston, MA where I’ve worked as Arabic and Quran teacher with Al Bashaeer school in Cambridge. In 2008, We’ve moved to Bryn Mawr, PA, about 3 miles from the VAHS School, where worked as a full time Arabic, Quran and Islamic study teacher for ten years. I had a great satisfaction seeing my students as they grew, and their Arabic and tadjweed skills grew with them. Al Queeda Al Nourania was one of the effective tools used to teach Quranic Arabic that helps my students a lot in their Quran memorization, We’ve also used yearly Quran competion and fundraiser events as a fun way to encourage our students in sharpening their skills.
